Robert Macoy, founder of our company that eventually became known as Macoy Publishing and Masonic Supply Co., was an early leader and pioneer in the world of Freemasonry. He was awarded the 33rd degree, but is remembered mostly as Past Grand Secretary and Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of New York and as Grand Recorder of the Grand Commandery of New York, and as founder of the Chapter system of the Order of the Eastern Star.
