Description
My Family are descendants from the Bounty Mutineers and the Tahitian women that came with them. Our family name Warren comes from Samuel Warren who was a whaler from Rhode Island USA. He met Agnes Christian on Norfolk Island, Married her and came to Pitcairn Island in 1864.
I used to work with the PLT doctors in our Health Centre as the Island Nurse. When my Niece arrived home from her long rehab and recovery in New Zealand, She was able to fill in my position as the Islands Nurse. I will be helping her to ease into that position through out the coming month and it would be nice to retire and dedicate myself completely to my crafts. I am an operator for the Siesmic station and help with Computers/internet and wireless installations. I am an elected member of the Pitcairn Council. At t7he end of 2005 i accepted the position of language and Culture teacher. I khave been teaching my grandnephews and Niece the different place names of the Island. My Treasurers job for the Store i have handed over to Turi my Nieces Husband and have become a check out assistant which I enjoy.
My Mum and I make most of the crafts on our web as Dad with his age is kept busy making things but he hardly finsh them. Earlier in life, I wrote the first Pitcairn Island Cook Book called "A Taste of Pitcairn".
