Description
Upholsterer, seamstress, and vintage enthusiast Heather Coward has been frequenting antique auctions for the past 15 years. Her training as a furniture designer and upholsterer combined with her love of all things vintage inspired her company, LuLu & Lavigne. Through her company Heather designs and produces a line of footstools, cocktail benches and stowaway ottomans along with doing custom reupholstery and drapery. Some of her best vintage finds have been club chairs and sofas from the 1930's which she reupholsters for resale.
Heather closed her retail shop in Toronto, and moved to Hamilton, Ontario in 2004. LuLu & Lavigne is now operated from a home studio offering the same custom upholstery and drapery services along with the custom-made ottomans.
