Former professional.jump jockey Luke Dace began riding under the guidance of Epsom stalwart Ron Smythe. He progressed to ride several winners through the top stables of Richard Rowe.
Following his riding career, Luke worked through the ranks to become a successful trainer with his own stables in West Sussex.
