Title
Lancastrian Transport Trust LTT Blackpool tram bus Fylde Lancashire
Description
The Lancastrian Transport Trust (LTT) is the guardian of a unique collection of buses and trams spanning over 80 years of public transport history in Lancashire and the North West of England.
Our origins are rooted in the Lancastrian Transport Group, established back in 1983. Over the years the collection has become highly focused on the preservation of public transport vehicles from the Fylde coast, embracing the fleets of the former Blackpool Corporation, Fylde Borough Transport, Lytham St. Annes Transport and Ribble Motor Services.
Nevertheless the collection also includes vehicles that originated in other parts of Lancashire, and further afield, from areas where Blackpool draws many tourists. The expanding collection resulted in the conversion of the Group into the Lancastrian Transport Trust in 1996 and then in May 2000 the Trust was granted charitable status by the UK Charity Commission, thus affording LTT access to a range of benefits and development opportunities.
