Established in 1929, the LSAU is dedicated to promoting the enjoyment of athletics in secondary schools, thus enhancing the moral and physical welfare of children, by providing the right environment so that hidden talent can be discovered and visible talent can be encouraged. It achieves this aim by organising some of the premier events in the province. We also organise coaching clinics, regional juvenile squad days and coaching courses in conjunction with Athletics Ireland since 2007.
