Longwy French enamel pottery has been produced since the 1870’s. It is easily recognized by its bright enamel colors and cloisonne technique without the use of metal. The decors range from Far and Near Eastern motifs and are often floral with birds. Art Deco pieces were made as well and are often highly stylized. Marks almost always include the word "Longwy" which may be impressed on the bottom or incorporated into various seals and medallions.
