Description

At Long Eaton, we cater for all ages and abilities, from the 12 minute miler to the 12 miles an hour athlete. Club nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays, meeting at 6.30p.m. for a warm up session. Usually there are different ability groups for you to join but if you are a new starter there will initially be a LERC member to look after you. And they might even buy you a drink in the bar afterwards. Click here for location map for West Park Leisure Centre.

Both the warm-up and run activity varies from week to week (the activity/sessions are displayed on the LERC noticeboard, located near the Main Hall).

We start with an optional 25 minutes warm-up of stretching and exercises, followed by a run at 7.00p.m. On Tuesdays this may be steady, fast, fartrek, interval or hill work according to the schedule or your preference, and on Thursdays there is usually a longer route ideal for a tempo run.
