- Logan Square Walks originally grew out of a listserve conversation among local residents dedicated to the notion that a pedestrian-friendly community is a citizen-friendly community. While the group began by addressing traffic-calming measures in highly motorized Logan Square, it swiftly turned to a more positive initiative: how to promote walking within the neighborhood for transit, recreational, and community-building purposes.
