Skid Steer Loader Attachments
Description
Company Profile
Loflin Fabrication LLC began in 1993 as two guys doing a few favors for a few friends. Both Greg Loflin and Terry Ferrell used skid steers in their spare time, when they weren't working at a factory in the next town. With both of them having extensive welding experience and engineering know-how, they decided that it would be to their advantage to manufacture their own buckets. However, coming from families of farmers and contractors, soon the two were spending more time making the attachments than using them. And so it began.
In 1994 the business started in a 3,000 square foot "hand made" metal building constructed behind Greg's house. He and Terry worked weekends welding it together themselves. The frame of the building was erected from scrapped metal furniture racks given to them from the factory they worked at by day. Research and development came from honest feedback by the people who actually use the products. After the first few proto types of various attachments were complete, they gave them to those friends and families who work in the industry. That's where the refining took place. They immediately developed a local reputation for exceptional workmanship and quick delivery. Advertising came by word of mouth.
Here's the question on all of the competitors minds, "How do they keep the prices so low?" It's simple to Greg and Terry. The answer is low overhead and in-house manufacturing of all the parts that go into the attachments. Loflin Fabrication has expanded from a couple of welding machines to now include such machinery as CNC lathes, milling machines and plasma cutters. All of the parts that go into the attachments are American made. They don't spend money importing from China or Mexico.
