Named after their builder, Archibald McLellan, the building was constructed in 1856. While Kelvingrove Art Galleries are closed for refurbishment, there is an exhibition of some of the best works from the Kelvingrove Art Galleries. There are various other exhibits displayed all throughout the year and with free admission and city centre location why not pay a visit to the McLellan Galleries.
Being only a short walk from Glasgow Central makes the theatre accessible to almost everyone. After refurbishment in 1992 the theatre now has three auditoriums and can seat almost 800 people within these areas. Regular performances of all kinds including concerts and play make this truly one of Glasgow's great tourist attractions.
