Located in midcoast Maine, Ridge Mist Llamas and Alpaca Supplies is a comprehensive and competitive mail order business designed to serve the needs of the llama and alpaca community.
During the past ten years, Ridge Mist Llamas has been the home to one of the largest llama herds in Maine. Our goal first and foremost has been to provide safe and loving homes for our animals and to work very closely with prospective buyers in a mentoring relationship to equip them with the necessary tools and information they will need to be excellent stewards of these very special animals. We offer buy back guarantees on every animal we sell and expect first refusal rights if an animal is ever considered for sale from the original placement. This same close scrutiny which has earned us an outstanding reputation in the llama community will be extended to you in the products which are sold and the guarantees which stand behind them.
In addition to overseeing the care and training of a herd of 40+ animals, we are active in our regional (Greater Appalachian Llama & Alpaca Association) and state (Maine Llama Association) llama organizations. When not involved in llama activities, Shari teaches high school physics and biology. In her free moments, she enjoys spending time with her animals and sea kayaking. Jane is pursuing a long awaited career in the medical field and has enrolled in a registered nursing program which she will complete in the spring of 2004. She is most interested in obtaining additional certification in trauma and intensive care nursing. When time permits, she enjoys felting using the nuno technique, hiking with her llamas and sea kayaking.
