Description
Congratulations to Living Root Dragon Boat's Open Teams 1 and 2 for successfully completing this past weekend's Boston Dragon Boat Festival! We had outstanding effort from all of our team members, many of whom are new to dragon boat racing this year. We expect to have all of our seasoned paddlers competing together in Hartford in September and we will see some serious results start to emerge. This is the finest group of men and women I have had the privilege to captain, coach and compete with both for their athletic ability and more importantly their positive attitude, commitment and feeling for the team.
Our Open Team 1 came away with a 3rd Place in the B Division and Open Team 2 came away with a 2nd Place in the D Division Minor Finals. We are now recruiting and training men and women to race at the Montreal Dragon Boat Festival on July 22-23, 2006. For more details on how you can race, go to: http://www.livingroot.org/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=71
May-Lynn Chang, our Vice President and Treasurer, for watching our tent, selling shirts and passing out information and collecting names from potential paddlers.
