- If that's all we wanted, we could put on a CD at home and strap on the headphones, or go to a concert hall and sit there without any interaction with the people next to us. "LIVE" is about music AND a sense of community. There just aren't many settings that encourage voluntary social contact. We do get excellent live music --- but it's meant to be music to be enjoyed with like-minded people and friends, including their children if they want to come. It is not about experiencing this in some sort of isolation.
