Do you have a personal statement that best describes you?
- I want to empower others to be true to themselves. I am especially passionate about working with women to help them learn how to live truly authentic lives.
Do you have a motto or favourite quote that guides you?
- “I love what comes, I love what goes” and “God’s rejection is man’s protection”.
When and how did you first discover you had the gift to help people?
- All my life I have wanted to physically touch people that I intuitively knew wanted and needed healing. I was guided to take Reiki classes and became very aware of how healing my hands are. I also became very aware of the energy around myself and others. I know that when I touch people I make a positive difference; there is a connection and healing that takes place. After I learnt Reiki I was able to reach out to people anywhere. Distance is no longer a barrier and I can heal others from wherever I am. I practice both distance healing and hands-on healing – both deliver incredible results for my clients.
- I suffered severe post-natal depression after giving birth to my first baby in 1998. In my darkest moments I knew that my Nana Myers who had passed, was with me, but I could only feel her loving presence and support – I didn’t know how to communicate with her. So I read every book I could get my hands on searching for ways to make contact! I read all of Doreen Virtue’s Angel books, Sonia Choquette’s books about Intuition, John Holland’s and Gordon Smith books on Mediumship, as well as many, many others.
- I found that I intuitively knew things about people when I met them, and that the information I became aware of was mostly about what was happening with them right now, in the present. I had visitations from deceased loved ones belonging to people that I was with. The loved ones were all bursting to get their messages through and heard. I began using Doreen Virtue’s Angel cards and these brought even more clarity to my abilities. But I wanted to learn how to hone my fledgling skills in a safe environment. I certified with Doreen Virtue in Australia as an Angel Intuitive (this is the South Pacific equivalent of an ATP) and then took her Mediumship course in Laguna.
- Before any of this formal training I was married to my ex-husband, I had a beautiful mansion to live in and I was a full-time mother to my two beautiful girls. But I wasn’t happy and it wasn’t feeding my spirit. I instinctively knew that to be true to myself I had to separate from my husband, become totally detached from the house, everything in it and the money my husband earned. I felt the need to risk everything - even the custody of my children! I moved out with very few belongings.
- This was a challenging time for me but it brought an amazing gift - this was when I really learnt to trust myself. My extended family were very unhappy with my choices and weren’t in contact, and a lot of my friends chose to be friends with my ex-husband instead. I had to wake up every day and trust myself and my choices in the face of no agreement! So many deceased loved ones supported me… and it was through hearing their support – and trusting it absolutely – that I became empowered and able to live in a truly authentic way.
- Because I have become empowered by learning to trust myself I have received the blessing that I am now able to guide and empower others to be true to themselves, in the best way for them.
How did you get started in this business?
- As part of my new life I moved city. I was drawn to live in the East Coast of New Zealand where my roots are. I knew that my deceased great-Nana Titi Huia had brought me to this part of the countryside for me to fully embrace my gifts. With the support of the land (whenua), sea (wai) and family (whanau), I set up my practice as a Medium, Clairvoyant and Angel Intuitive.
- I had been practicing on the quiet up until then gaining experience and confidence but it was time to create myself fully. My business took off as soon as I arrived. The local bookshop hosted me as a guest for an afternoon to do readings. Eighty people turned up and for two hours I did many readings and met many incredible people.
- One woman told me she had brought her grandson in for healing because he was an asthmatic and couldn’t sleep. He went to sleep while he was there! When she transferred him to the car, he woke up and was upset, so bought him back for more healing… where he once again went back to sleep.
- I lived in this wonderful community for nearly three years, where I ran Angel workshops, Mediumships evenings, Book clubs and Enlightenment groups.
Do you have any advanced degrees or specialized training?
- I am certified as an Angel Intuitive and Medium by Doreen Virtue
- I am 1st degree Reiki certified
- I am training as a Medical Intuitive
Do you offer special services or insights that customers might find helpful?
- Due to my studies and development I am able to be a clear channel and open myself up, trusting all guidance that I am given and passing it directly onto my clients. My goal is always to leave my clients feeling empowered and ready to take the next step.
- I have had powerful results working with women who have been sexually abused. I work through a careful healing process which enables these women to experience more fulfilling relationships in their lives.
Do you do any charity or non-profit work?
- I am working with the Wellington Rape Crisis.
Why do you love what you do?
- I love that I get to make a profound difference in the lives of my clients whether it is over the phone, in person, when I am teaching workshops or live on stage at my Mediumship evenings. Being of service and sharing myself with others is what my life purpose is about. When I am given the gift of being able to share that… I am in my element and I am being true to myself. I love the connection that is made between myself and my clients.
