- One of the reasons that I became a psychotherapist is because I am passionate about people and their stories. Something that is common throughout history is that the greatest people in the world dealt with adversity, hardship, and abuse and those people were able to incorporate those experiences into their greatness. In this line of healing work, I get to meet wonderful people who are motivated to heal and I get the chance to hear their stories and assist them on their healing journey. Going through difficult times in my life has given me a particular empathy for individuals and families also going through difficult times.
