- Since 1985, the Linden Tree Coffeehouse has been located in the social hall of the Unitarian Universalist Church in downtown Wakefield. Annually there are about twelve acoustic music concerts featuring local and national singer-songwriters, playing a wide range of folk music from contemporary, traditional, bluegrass, and blues. Most of the performers can be heard on local folk radio stations such as WUMB (91.9), WERS (88.9) and WGBH (89.7). Complete information about each performer may be found in articles printed in The Wakefield Daily Item, Wakefield Observer, and the Middlesex East supplement to the Chronicle.
