Weathering the Recession with Strategic Alliances

I own Barney and Associates, a technical writing firm, and I've been in business a really long time. The recession has hit Oregon hard, and it is more difficult to land work in every one of my usual markets. But instead of freaking out, I've been networking and connecting with a number of clients and professional contacts. I've formed exciting new strategic alliances which should help my firm weather this downturn and grow as the economy expands.
I am researching areas of interest and expanding my firm's work in the Energy /Sustainability area and SEO/SEM services. I continue to write articles for a variety of Oregon and national groups. This is both interesting and a good way to increase visibility. I would be interested to know what other firms are doing to weather the recession.
