Her grand- mother was one of the bayou’s most respected traiteurs (healer). People from many cultures sought her help in solving problems and achieving goals. And, if you needed to be cured of various ailments, Lily’s Grandmother was always available with the right herb, remedy, talisman, spiritual oil, or ritual. Lily was also taught to apply specific prayers and imagery, with faith, to invoke beneficial energies and healing.
