At the age of thirteen, my mother taught me to embroider. I was quite proud of my accomplishment and fell in love with handwork. Shortly thereafter, I was given the opportunity to use my mother's sewing machine and with her guidance, I sewed my first garment. Sewing became my passion. When my children were born, the first garments they wore were handsewn day gowns. When my daughter was eleven months old, I opened my first shop, A Stitch in Tyme. Lilies and Lace specializes in beautifully handsewn garments, imported fabrics and laces, silk ribbons, timeless patterns for children, embroidery flosses, smocking plates, pearl buttons and much more. It is a place where custom children's items are designed for christenings, weddings and other special occasions. It is a shop that inspires creativity and emphasizes fine quality with an atmosphere that encourages a truly relaxed shopping experience.
