DES MOINES, Iowa—-June 7, 2006—LightEdge Solutions, Inc., a leader in converged data networking, voice-over-Internet-protocol (VoIP) and managed IT business services, today announced its acquisition of the business division of NexGen Integrated Communications, a provider of business and residential Internet, voice and cable TV services in Urbandale, Iowa.
LightEdge acquires substantially all of NexGen’s commercial assets and the 700 customers related to its business Internet services in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. All NexGen business customers will be integrated with LightEdge. NexGen retains all of the assets and the 3,000 customers subscribing to its residential service in Des Moines and will continue to service its residential customers under the NexGen name.
