- Lifehouse provides caring, non-judgmental support to women and their familes. Lifehouse Maternity Home is a new community resource for women and families facing an unexpected pregnancy. Our name is intended to inspire hope for those looking for direction. It will provide for the spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual needs of pregnant and/or parenting teens and women and their children, both born and unborn, in a Christ-centered home environment.
The desire to establish a safe residential facility for pregnant and parenting young women is an outgrowth of work being done to support new life and the mothers and fathers grappling with the implications of an unplanned pregnancy. To encourage young men and women who are struggling against the odds to consider life for their child carries a huge responsibility for the pro-life worker. Part of that responsibility is the obligation to provide the holistic support that they need.
One vital component that is currently lacking is a safe place for the pregnant or parenting woman to live. This is the dream of those who are striving to build a residential maternity/parenting center in Louisville. Lifehouse services:
* Individual, family and group counseling * Access to health care * Parenting classes * Spiritual direction * Decision making skills * Continuing education * Job placement and financial management * Help with transitioning to independence * Adoption services

Immediate Needs
Our needs will change as we transition from the remodeling and building stage to the residential phases. The new maternity home, Lifehouse Center, is located in Louisville, KY. For this building project we need:
* Building supplies
(free or wholesale) including
windows, doors, roofing, 2x4s, wallboard and
general construction materials.
* Labor
* Landscaping materials
* Fencing
* Playground equipment
* Carpeting and furnishings
* Appliances of all kinds,
large and small
For our initial office we need:
* Phone system
* Computer or laptop
* Printer
* File cabinet
(fire proof if possible)
* Copy machine
* Small office supplies
