What is Reconnect?
Reconnect is a group formed by members of the Liberal Democrat party to combat disillusionment with the political process and reconnect British people with their Parliament and their Government.
Reconnect does not accept 'voter apathy' as an explanation. It is too convenient an excuse for politicians to use, as it allows them to blame everyone but themselves.
We want people to vote again because they see something worth voting for. That is why we are working outside of the party to reach out to people who have become disillusioned with voting. We want to tell them about the differences between the Liberal Democrats and the two old parties that we believe give people a positive reason to step back into the polling booth.
