Life for the World is looking for a new Executive Director to further the development of its ministry of equipping the Church to practically present the love of God to drug users, their families and communities. The Trust has almost 40 years experience in this work and partners with churches through training and supporting outreach programmes.
Peter Smith, who is standing down later this year, said “I am grateful to God for all we have been able to achieve although much remains to be done to fulfil the Trust’s vision of helping churches reach out to victims of drug abuse so they find freedom in Christ”.
Trust Chairman Chris Hounsell expressed appreciation to Peter for developing the Trust’s vision and strategy and for establishing firm foundations for the future during his leadership of Life for the World. He asked the Christian community to pray for a new leader with anointing and gifting so Life for the World could increasingly support the church in this vital area.
