"Harold Streeter" is far from being a household word, so here's a little background about the author of the various books, courses, and arrangements described on the web site.
A guitar, 5-string banjo, mandolin, dobro, and bass player since 1955, Harold began teaching and performing professionally on all four instruments in 1960. After fourteen years of performing and touring, he decided to focus primarily on teaching. Noticing that very little quality instruction material was available for 5-string banjo, he placed an ad in a music magazine in 1974 and the response was amazing. He soon began hearing from banjo and mandolin players, and guitarists from all over the world, which led to the formation of LeWalt Publishing. What follows are some of the high points of his musical career:
Guitar columnist for Bluegrass Canada Magazine (1989 - 92), guitar columnist for Flatpicking Guitar Magazine since 1999, banjo columnist for Banjo Newsletter since 1979, contributor to Frets and Acoustic Guitar magazines.
