The aim of this site is to provide pictures of as many butterfly and moth species that inhabit the netherlands as possible. Pictures and species are added regularly. Please sign up for the leps.nl newsletter if you like to be informed when new pictures are added in the database.
All the pictures on these website have been identified without the use of genital study or dissection. Using the pictures featured at www.leps.nl to confirm identification is at your own risk.
Although each picture is carefully identified, identification mistakes are still possible. If you spot any misidentifications, please email us at info@leps.nl.
