- It is Spring Festival time again. People young and old look forward to attending all of the events that take place during the nine days of this annual event. No one looked forward to the entertainment more than Violet Timmer. You could always depend on her being the first to arrive each day, with her lawn chair in tow, and the last one to leave when the music had ended. She never missed a show. She loved the festival so much that she would mail a check for $25 each year to show her support of the event. That check meant more to the Board of Directors than she ever knew because to them, it showed that someone out there really appreciated what we set out to do each year, which is to provide a fun, family event for people of all ages to enjoy.
