- Lee Auto Parts, Inc. was founded in September 1976, by the father and son team of Mike and Phill Porpora. The first store occupied 3900 square feet in a shopping center in Des Plaines, IL. "Our mission was simple; offer quality parts with superior service" states company president, Phill Porpora. As the family business grew, the second location was opened in Arlington Heights in 1980 and a third store was added in Morton Grove in 1982.
