leatherbiz.com went live in November 2000 as the news portal to complement World Leather magazine. At the time, World Leather was 13 years old and was recognised as the leading international trade magazine for the leather industry . leatherbiz.com was launched so people could access the latest industry news, market intelligence, product information, event calendar and much more on a daily basis.
The site was an instant hit and the viewing statistics have increased rapidly each year. However, five years later leatherbiz.com needed to be improved and in August 2005 was re-launched, promising to bring even greater benefits to its valued customers.
The site is now more closely linked to the magazine since the introduction of the World Leather Technical and Business Management library, where all the features and business management articles published in World Leather can be downloaded for a nominal charge.
