Description
Leadership Lackawanna is The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce's community education/leadership development program. Established in 1982, the program is designed to introduce the participants to the major issues and challenges facing Lackawanna County.
Armed with information on a variety of topics from this ten-month course, the participants, in turn, go out into the community to volunteer their time and talent to various civic and social agencies. The cost for this program is $950. A new class is selected every May.
Leadership Lackawanna is a ten-month program which runs from September through June. Sessions are held on one weekday each month and focus on topics such as media, law, community and downtown development, economic development, health care, education, quality of life, labor/management relations, and government.
