LawOfTwoFeet

We often find ourselves stuck in situations where we are not able to contribute in any useful manner. There can be various reasons for this; sometimes we get bored after working on something for a very long time, or we may realize that there is not much room for further improvement at that moment. The law of two feet simply states that if you feel you are not being productive somewhere, then use your two feet and move to some new place where your work can be more meaningful and fruitful. Wiki isn't a place where someone's going to tell you what to do. It's up to you to decide where your efforts are best spent. This is of course always true, even when someone is telling you what to do!

Why is this important?

  • Using Law of Two Feet can make you produce excellent content and thus can add value to what you are doing for the community. That the valuable content you create in turn encourages others to do the same is another benefit that this law can yield.
  • Do not do something because it has to be done, do it only because you want to do it. Law of Two Feet ensures that your work remains pleasure rather than labor for you.

How do we do this?

  • Use your head as well your feet and choose something to do that interests you and you feel you can contribute to.
