A little history...
During the early years of the Palm Economy, Bozidar Benc of Benc (pronounced BenZa) Software Productions created a highly usable replacement for the standard Palm OS Application Launcher based on a tabular interface pioneered by Eric Kenslow. This application launcher, simply named "Launcher", rocketed to #1 on PalmGear.com's all time download rating for over a year. Through the years Launcher evolved into Launcher III and was considered by many as the most functional and speediest application launcher available on the market.
In 2001 Bozidar partnered with Will Lau, a UI and icon design specialist, with the intention of creating a new Launcher based on Launcher III's robust foundation. Together they pioneered a new configurable skin technology called Active Skins™, which allowed the UI to be infinitely configurable and opened the road to vastly improved aesthetics.
Bozidar was involved in a tragic car accident in 2004 which claimed his life. He will be missed by many and will always be considered a pioneer to the handheld computing world.
