  • Work under progress..................

Recent research show that Lasik can treat Amblyopia in case of children and young adults.Lasik treats anisometropic amblyopia among the patients age ranging from 7 to 25 years, in which all patients had one amblyopic eye with the other normal eye.The patients possessing such amblyopic symptoms were treated with wave front guided LASIK and resulted in significant improvement in visual acquity.

PresbyLasik is a new form of treating presbyopia, the surgery does a multifocal treatment on cornea in a similar manner a multifocal contact lens is made.Where as the in case of Multifocal IOL surgery, there is a replacement of natural lens with an artificial lens and can be done when no cataract exists.Doctors have figured out various advantages of presbyLasik versus IOL surgery. Although in personal opinion of some doctors IOL's are a better surgical solution for presbyopia then presbyLasik and evaluated that age related issues can cause vision problems in case of presbyLasik but the new IOL's enable the eye to regain its ability to change focus for difficult tasks.
