Heinz Thummel, an internationally recognized expert in the design of visible and infrared laser systems, founded Laser Devices, Inc., in 1979. A leader in the laser industry, Laser Devices, Inc. (LDI) is now known for its expertise in the design and manufacture of state-of-the-art visible and infrared laser-based aiming devices and small arms training systems for law enforcement and the military. The Company has also expanded its operations to include the manufacture of laser and white light tactical illuminators. Its reputation for providing innovative laser products and cost effective manufacturing solutions has resulted in Laser Devices being selected to custom design and engineer new laser products for domestic and international manufacturers seeking to integrate diode laser technology into new and existing product lines. LDI expects to be ISO 9001 certified by the Summer of 2002. The Company is located at the Ryan Ranch Business Park in Monterey, California, USA.
Our mission is to enhance the tactical and defensive capabilities of military, law enforcement, manufacturing and consumer customers through the design, development and manufacture of technically advanced laser aiming devices, laser-based small arms simulators, laser and white light illumination systems, high quality diode laser modules, and power supplies and components.
Laser Devices, Inc.’s business can be divided into three areas: Laser Aiming and Tactical Illumination Devices, Laser Component Manufacturing, and Original Equipment Manufacturing.
