Canadian Friends of Laniado Hospital

Description

pulled from site's meta description

Canadian Friends of Laniado Hospital was founded in 1991 by several prominent members of the Toronto Jewish community. These included Israel and Janine Weinstock, Hilda and Dr. Joseph Weil, Renee Rubinstein, Dr. Allan Seidenfeld, Dr. Mark Nusbaum, and others. Many of the original founders had a strong connection to the founder of the hospital, the late Klausenberger Rebbe. The first parlour meeting took place at the home of Renee Rubinstein where Dr. Seidenfeld agreed to become the founding chairman, Israel Weinstock the treasurer, and where Dr. Mark Nusbaum made the first significant pledge. Dr. Joseph Weil was the acting medical director of the hospital when Laniado opened its doors in 1976. The goal of the founders was to raise funds to help the hospital in its growth and development. That goal remains unchanged as Canadian Friends of Laniado Hospital continues to assist the hospital in a myriad of ways.
