In the early years of Lake Norman, many considered it a lovely site for summer cottages. However, through the years, Lake Norman has been discovered as a wonderful place to live and now is a home for thousands.
Lake Norman has 520 miles of shoreline and 33,000 acres of surface area. It was created by Duke Power in 1963 as a source of energy for the piedmont region of North Carolina. Lake Norman's beautiful sunsets, lush landscape and tranquil waters are right where you need them - only twenty minutes north of Charlotte, and only a short drive to the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains or the warm ocean waters of the Atlantic.

Karen Spruell and son Mike Spruell bring over 30 years of real estate experience and over $30 million of career sales to the Keller Williams Realty Lake Norman. Karen was formerly Owner/Broker of Island Realty, in Grosse Ile, Michigan. She has also earned the additional designation of ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative). Mike grew up on Grosse Ile, an island (population of 12,000) in the mouth of Lake Erie, just south of Detroit. He has called the Lake Norman area her home for five years. Karen and Mike chose to join Keller Williams because of the wealth of real estate resources that Keller Williams offers, as well as the casual, friendly, "hometown" atmosphere of the local residents and their associates at Keller Williams. As professionals, the mother/son team's pledge is to help other families "find their way home".
