Laguna Station, owned and operated by the Rio Grande council, is located on South Padre Island, an extraordinary playground tucked into a sun-washed corner of South Texas. Karankawa Indians once camped on its beach. Pirate Jean Lafitte is said to have buried his plunder among its dunes. Shipwrecks have dotted its coast. Now, people from all over the country come to enjoy the sands, surf, unmatched weather and relaxed life-style for which South Padre Island is famous.
