LASEK versus LASIK

The difference between LASIK surgery and LASEK surgery, essentially, is that while both procedures involve cutting the cornea of eye, creating a flap which is pulled aside while laser technology removes tissue, correcting the refraction error in the eye, and replacing the flap of cornea, LASEK surgery involves cutting an ultra thin layer of the cornea.
