The Landscape Institute - the UK Royal Chartered body for landscape architects
Description
. We have about 5,000 members who work across a range of organisations such as local authorities, government agencies and private practice. They are involved in a broad range of tasks including masterplanning, environmental assessment, public consultation and design. The Institute provides services to assist members including support and promotion of the work of landscape architects; information and guidance to the public and industry about the specific expertise offered by those in the profession; and training and educational advice to students and professionals looking to build upon their experience.
The Landscape Institute works closely with partner organisations in the UK and overseas. In 2005 the LI and RIBA formalised their close working relationship by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (PDF 74 kb).
The LI is also developing close links with the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture (CHSLA). In 2004 the Landscape Institute signed a Memorandum of Agreement (PDF 40 kb) with the CHSLA.
