About Us
KYMTC is a non-profit, volunteer based youth theatre group operating in the North Grenville region. We provide interested youth with an opportunity to learn about and participate in all aspects of theatre, including: acting, singing and dancing, set and costume design, lighting and sound, advertising and program design, makeup, and backstage.
The first production of the KYMTC was OKLAHOMA!, staged in March 2003 with a cast of 27 youth. Oklahoma was a resounding success, selling out three of four shows.
In April 2004 the KYMTC produced another successful show, the musical Oliver. The cast of 38 was divided into two full sets of principal actors, and the effort of producing essentially two shows simultaneously exhausted the production crew. The decision was made to divide the company into senior and junior groups, with one senior and one junior production each year.
