Owners Brian Krieger and Vito Chirco established Krieger's in September 1991 in Chesterfield, Missouri. In April of 1993, Vito and Brian brought on another partner, Sal Alu, along with a second store in Maryland Heights and as they say, "the rest is history!" Between 1995 and 1999 five more corporate owned locations popped up in the Greater St. Louis area.
In the Spring of 2002, Vito, Brian and Sal decided to introduce Krieger's to the franchise market. Krieger's opened their first franchise location in February of 2003. They continued their growth with five more franchise locations in 2003! Their 7th franchise location opened in Feb. 2004 in Edwardsville, IL, followed by Springfield, IL, Cape Girardeau, MO, Pueblo, CO, and St. Peters, MO. The newest franchise location opened in Festus, MO in January of 2005.
Today, with 17 locations, Krieger's has established itself as one of the fastest growing, locally owned restaurant chain in the Midwest. We have made a name for ourselves by consecutively being voted Best Place To Take The Kids, Best Fries, Best Burgers, Best Pub & Grill, Best Wings and Best Casual Lunch for several years. In the summer of 1999, the Missouri Restaurant Association honored us by giving us an award for "Best Menu in Missouri".
