Kootenai County Fire & Rescue is one of the largest providers of fire and emergency services in North Idaho – serving more than 45,000 residents in the cities of Post Falls, Dalton Gardens, Huetter, State Line, Fernan Village and some of the unincorporated areas of Kootenai County, Our Firefighter/EMTs staff three stations 24 hours a day - 365 days per year. In 2008 we responded to 4,427 calls for emergency service.
