Title

Kittytails Feral Kitten Rescue and Adoption

Description

It all started with horses, crocodiles, a kangaroo named Joey, and cats. Of course, I’m speaking of our very own Kym. For those who don’t know her, she is the founder of the feral cat rescue and adoption, Kittytails. Kym has a heart as big as Australia, from which she hails.

Kittytails is a nonprofit organization funded by donations of food, money, and most of all, lots of love and time from great volunteers. What, you might ask, is it that Kittytails does? Well, we are dedicated to trapping, neutering and returning, or more commonly known as T/N/R. Feral cats live in colonies, struggling to survive and giving birth to kittens who, like their ancestors, fight against mother nature, repeating the cycle. Kittytails sets traps, which are wire cages, in the colonies hoping to trap the adult as well as the baby felines. There is no chance of hurting the cat. We then take the adults to get spay/neuter and frequently release them, as they are usually too wild to tame. However, the kittens are trained and spay/neutered and given their first set of shots. This is where your donations are put to use. After they are what we call people-friendly, they are put up for adoption.
