Title
Kings Langley, its history and local architecture
Description
The Kings Langley Local History and Museum Society was formed in 1969 with the stated aims of encouraging the study and appreciation of local history and to preserve records and objects of historical interest.
This site is designed to be the Society's 'virtual museum', and a showcase of the varied and long history of Kings Langley. Working alongside the Society's own publications list, including "Kings Langley: A Hertfordshire Village" (Kings Langley Local History and Museum Society, 1991) and its series of six lectures each year on themes of local interest, the site is designed to show the major areas of interest in the village, and highlight its key historical events.
The Society eventually hopes to establish a bricks and mortar museum in Kings Langley to house and display its growing collection of important local artefacts.
