For Over 75 years Kimlan Soy Sauce has been the favorite of the Chinese people. Now it is fast becoming a favorite the world over. KIMLAN products, and quality, are known far beyond the shores of Taiwan; they can be found in Hong Kong, Australia, Denmark, Germany, England and the United States. Soy Sauce is an indispensable ingredient in Oriental cooking, especially traditional Chinese cooking. Understandably, the soy sauce industry has been an important and flourishing business in Taiwan.
KIMLAN, established in 1936, is a pioneer, and one of the most experienced soy sauce manufacturers in Taiwan, and has grown to become Taiwan's most popular soy sauce. As it has grown, production facilities were constantly being expanded-first in 1957, then in 1967 and 1970. Expansion did not keep up with the demand, and in 1977, a totally new plant was built at Tao Yuan, Taiwan. This plant has just recently, in 1990 and continuing into 1991, undergone extensive remodeling and modernizing. With this most recent expansion, KIMLAN will continue in its role as the leading producer of China's favorite premium soy sauce. In 2002 KIMLAN won best tasting soy sauce at the International Food Convention, Paris, France. In 2004 KIMLAN was nominated for food excellence at SUPERBRANDS, Hong Kong.
As the flavor of a fine wine takes time to develop, the exquisite taste of authentic KIMLAN soy sauce can not be hurried. Unlike the short-cut methods used to produce brewed, or imitations, KIMLAN soy sauce begins by combining soy beans, roasted wheat, salt and water. This mix is then subjected to a lengthy fermentation process. There are three basic categories of soy sauce: Chinese, Japanese and a wide variety of imitation soy sauce. However, today's consumers are sophisticated and concerned about the food they ingest. The demand for all-natural, healthy food products is great. KIMLAN is leading the way in the natural, Chinese soy sauce segment. KIMLAN'S six to ten month natural fermentation process results in a mellow flavor and less salty taste. KIMLAN, established in 1936 has long enjoyed distinction throughout Asia. Now it is a leader in sales among imports in this country.
