[today] Turned out to be a big day: Got a new job. Submitted my application for US citizenship (officially in the post today). It's Flag Day.
[so fast] This new little surprise in my life unfolded very, very quickly. Last Thursday, I was yelled at by one of the gov't employees here. I know, right? I was like "No, she diin't!".
Sidebar: I love most of the govvies here, but some of them just make you detest coming to work everyday. They treat you like dirt and they think that contractors are the scum of the planet who are only here because we actually do their jobs for them but at a very, very high price. Well, der, if they could do it themselves, they wouldn't have to hire us. They need us, yet they treat us like shit. Some of them are just plain stupid, demotivating, demoralizing and absolutely depressing. But in general, I looooove the gov't peeps that I work with and for.
