Description

Iconoclastic Recordings are a serious minded label and club night, that put DIY aesthetics in high esteem. Three out of our total four are DJs working every week in clubs, radiostations and magazines, which means we always have an ear out for tunes, producers and musical trends. Furthermore it gives us a uniqe opportunity to test our material in club and radio settings before deciding upon the possibility of release. It also means we have an extensive network of djs and producers passing on their demos to us, so our challenge is really to find the greatest among all the good submissions.

We've got the fresh talent Lil'Wolf as inhouse artist. Lil'Wolf has had success in 2005 with his debut EP on Brique Rouge records which got great reviews (including being number one on John Digweed 's chart) and productions for Billie Ray Martin, remixes for X.Lover, Magik J, Neurotic Drum Band etc. His fan base is growing every day, and he recently won the title DJ of the year, by Norway's main web recource for club life; www.nattguiden.no . We have also included, on our release plan, material from: Siobhan Fahey (ex. Bananarama & Shakspear's Sister), Aaron-Carl, The Uncredible Haak, X.Lover (Norway) and Magik Johnson.

To avoid pigeonholing ourselves, we don't say that we cater to one specific audience or genre. We draw inspiration from electro, pop, italo and techno - and we are fond of melodies and vocals. This approach is a winning combination at our clubnights, which are visited and supported by die-hard fans every time. Delivering great music is our goal.
