Description
Communications professional. Michael Kesten made the transition from hard news to media relations and communications in 1990 when he became a media director at the Oregon legislature. From 1997 to early 2002, Michael served as communications director for the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, a nonprofit organization. The idea for media directories grew out of Michael's own struggle to maintain media lists. He published his first media directories in 1996.
KestenMedia now involves the media directories and more. Michael offers his professional services and media expertise on a contract basis to individuals, businesses and organizations. Those services include media training, web page maintenance, newsletter publishing, news releases, news conferences, PowerPoint presentations and video production
shows Michael at the age of three, standing with his family just outside their home in Osburn, Idaho. You can see radio station KWAL (right arrow) next door. Between the ages of three and six, Michael spent many Saturday mornings as a resident guest on KWAL's "Aunt Jane" program. The time was spent talking to "Aunt Jane" about the stories she read on the air and describing for the children at home his own crayon drawings.
