Description

Each room is separately set up for an abundance of needs. From the hopeless romantic to the large family who needs a home to return to after a great day of recreation. From rustic to newly renovated, they are reasonable affordable and always immaculate. Phones, TV's, Cable, A/C and a sparkling pool add to the amenities of this country charmer. And that is what keeps them coming back year after year.

The Kern River is the lifeblood of the Kern County and the beginning of nature's contribution to these magnificent surroundings. Flowing from Mount Whitney and fueled by the Sierra Mountains, it passes through Hydroelectric plants that supply power to surrounding counties. The first plant erected in 1904 proved so successful, the Corp. of Engineers started building the Isabella Dam in 1948 and completed it in 1953. In 1951 the town of Kernville moved to their present site and gave way to our beautiful Lake Isabella, one of the largest manmade lakes in the world.

Tourism began to flourish in the 1950s and the towns united to entice Californians and Nevadans to get away from the hustle-bustle of city life. Recently, other Americans and foreign travelers have found this ecological paradise. Return visits account for most of the resort's visitors.
