Kentucky Basketball Championship Invitational was founded in 2002 with the idea of creating a realistic competitive program for young basketball players - both boys and girls - in the state of Kentucky to have the opportunity to showcase their basketball skills in a state-wide championship type of environment. The program is dedicated to providing the youth of our state, no matter what race, sex or financial ability, the opportunity to become better citizens through the median of basketball.
The original and on-going slogan and mission of Kentucky Basketball Championship Invitational is that "Every Team Plays.". No team will be turned away from participating in a tournament due to financial ability.
The energies and interest of our youth are channeled into healthy pursuits that teach sportsmanship, teamwork and to build personal confidence. These objectives are achieved through two avenues: state and national tournaments.
